May 5th, 2023, NSPS and Partners (TWG) reviewed and validated the #Data_Sharing_Protocol @Senegambia Hotel. NSPS received support from @WFP Gambia to develop a comprehensive data sharing protocol. The protocol is designed to offer #operational_guidance on #structured_data_sharing from #theGambia_Social_Registry (GamSR) with potential users.
The Gambia Social Registry (GamSR) contains socio-economic data on The Gambia’s citizens. The purpose of the registry is to allow consolidate into a single common database, structured and organized key information about current and potential beneficiaries of social programmes, in order to create a single-entry point for the main social protection programs to access information about potential beneficiaries. GAMSR can provide a gateway for inclusion in social protection initiatives and an improved information system on beneficiaries and benefits to promote better coordination and synergies among programme.
This Data Sharing Protocol contains operational guidance for the NSPS on how to share data from the GamSR with applicants wanting to use the data in a structured way, including how to share personal data in line with internationally recognized personal data protection principles. These SOPs are part of the overall operational guidelines of the GamSR.
