Gambia Social Registry -- GamSR
The government of The Gambia in collaboration with the World Bank has developed a social registry as part of its move towards an integrated social protection system in the country. The proposed name for the Social Registry is Gambia Social Registry (GamSR).
The purpose of building the GamSR is to consolidate into a single common database, structured and organized key information about current and potential beneficiaries of social programs in order to create single entry point for the citizens to access the main social protection programs.
National Database for all households as a gateway to all social programs
Documents data on the socio-economic status of households
Government and development partners can use it for better programing
